One Week To Go…………….

As of today there is officially one week to go before I leave for Norway. These past couple of days have been pretty exciting. Iv’e been into the city 5 times in the last 9 days. I have done the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb and been to a free art exhibition at the Town Hall that was all about wasted plastic toys. It is funny that I live around the same distance from the Sydney CBD as I will be living from Oslo when I’m in Strommen.

I recently discovered that I will be the first exchange student that my host club, Sagdalen, will have hosted since 1987! I am now more determined than ever to prove that it is a worthwhile program to be a part of so that they continue to host students after me.

It has been incredibly hot over the last few days and the humidity is a real killer. On Sunday Sydney (more specifically Penrith) was the hottest place on Earth on that particular day. It was 47 degrees Celsius. Considering that Strommen was -5 degrees celsius on that day I could potentially experience a 52 degree temperature drop!

I don’t have many plans for the next week other than for the day before I leave. I am going to meet up with my best friend one last time and go for a wander. I will then go to one last BBL game before I go.

I have done another weight test of my suitcase and, with most of my stuff in there, it only weighed 14.6kg!

I will probably do another update before I go.

Until then,

Alicia
